If you’re in the north east part of South Africa, near the town of Graskop (see our Graskop page for a description of this lovely little town) stay at the Graskop Hotel. We think it’s worth a visit! It was built in the 1960s and although its first function is as a motel, it also serves as an artists’ showroom. Works of art are displayed everywhere you look, and local culture figures prominently in most of the art, since it’s by local artists. One piece is made of stuffed cloth arrows!
